Comedian Arthur Smith has been strutting his stuff at the Edinburgh Fringe for nearly 30 years. On the eve of the city’s festival season he talks Julian Hall about his long association with the Scottish capital-and offers some tips on how to make the most of your festival experience.
Last year, 2.6 million people descended on Scotland’s capital city to enjoy the festival season, spending £127m in the process. You could argue that the Edinburgh Festival is the “greatest show on earth”, given the bewildering choice available to the visitors.
